Day 1 Friday

11 AM – Arrival

12 PM – Check-in at Hotel Nacional or Meliá Cohíba

1 PM – Lunch in Habana Vieja (Old Havana) at Doña Eutimia’s paladar that made Newsweek’s top 100 restaurants in the world in 2012
After lunch, explore Havana’s Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and wander through the Plaza Vieja, the oldest plaza in Havana, dating from the 16th century. See the Plaza de San Francisco, a cobbled plaza surrounded by buildings dating from the 18th century, dominated by the baroque Iglesia and Convento de San Francisco dating from 1719. Visit Plaza de la Cathedral and Cathedral de San Cristóbal de La Habana. Visit the Plaza de Armas, a scenic tree-lined plaza formerly at the center of influence in Cuba. It is surrounded by many of the most historic structures in Havana as well as important monuments. Adjacent to the Plaza de Armas is the Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, a splendid example of Cuban Baroque, which originally housed the Chapter House, Governor’s Residence and house of detention.

8 PM – Dinner – Centro Asturiano Old Havana

10 PM – Photo-walk night photography (optional)

11 PM – Current Cuban music venue at Hotel Nacional


Day 2 Saturday

6 AM – Photo-walk along the Malecón (optional)

8:30 AM – Breakfast at Hotel Nacional

9:30 AM – Architecture Tour Old Town Havana – Stroll along Boulevard El Prado, Museo de Bellas Artes/Palacio de Bellas Artes and Palacio del Centro Asturiano

12:30 PM – Lunch- Los Nardos restaurant

1:30 PM – Continue to the Capitol Building, the Teatro Nacional and explore the unseen Old Town Havana architecture.

3:30 PM – Meet with Television and Film Artists at the Cuban Film Institute

5 PM – Witness and engage with the participants of Cuba’s famously animated baseball debates at Esplenada del Capitolio Park.

6 PM – Dinner- Atelier paladar

8 PM – Ballet Performances

10 PM – Factoría de Artes Cubanas, a Cuban jazz and arts venue.


Day 3 Sunday

6 PM – Photo-walk old town Havana (optional)

9:30 AM – National Ballet School- Learn what it is like being a dancer in Cuba. Observe training and engage with photo opps

11:30 AM – Rafael Trejo Boxing Gym meet and watch boxers train with photo session

12:30 PM – Lunch El Templete

1:30 PM – Obini Bata Troupe-Afro-Cuban dance performance in Old Town Havana

2:30 PM – Giganta Mime Troupe- live street performance

3:30 PM – Meet with local artists and painters in their studios in old town Havana

5 PM – Bacardi Building. Capture the Havana skyline and harbor in a 360 degree view

5:30 PM – Visit the FOCSA building Cuba’s tallest building and one of the seven wonders of Cuban civil engineering in Vedado (wiki fact).

6 PM – Dinner at La Fontana paladar.

8 PM – Cabaret Copacabana, the inspiration for Las Vegas


Day 4 Monday

6 AM -Photo-walk (optional)

9:30 AM – Meeting with Cuban Circus performers with optional photo session

11:30AM – “Yank Tank” tour of Vedado we will stop at the most significant architectural buildings & sites.

1 PM – Lunch- San Cristobal Paladar

2 PM – Visit to Callejón de Hamel

3 PM – Taller (workshop) of vintage old cars repaired on the street

4 PM – Escuela Taller Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos –The school for training the building restorers of the buildings of Havana

6 PM – Complimentary Dinner Tapas & Drinks at Bar Bohemio

9 PM – Cuban Music Venue


Day 5 Tuesday departure

7 AM – Market Trip- Visit an Organic Farmer’s Market with paladar owner/manager Elizabeth Espinoza to shop for her restaurant Los Amigos and see Cuba’s dual currency at work.

10:30 AM – Tour Partagas Cigar Factory

12PM – Depart for Jose Marti International Airport.


Tours include breakfast, daily transportation and admission fees to sites. Meals at paladares (privately owned restaurants) and alcoholic beverages are not included.
